Winter Wonderland DLC Update now live for Overwatch
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, for gamers at least. Overwatch is getting into the holiday spirit with a new holiday themed seasonal event. They’ve made maps to be in the holiday spirit, added new festive items to loot boxes, and made an entirely new Christmas themed game mode!
New Loot Box Items
The 2016 Winter Wonderland Update brings new holiday wrapped Winter Loot Boxes, with over 100 new cosmetic additions.
As with the previous Overwatch events, the Winter Loot Boxes can be purchased, or earned in game. Each Loot Box will contain at least one item from the Wonderland collection. These new items can be skins, victory poses, highlight intros, profile icons, sprays, emotes and more. While the contents of these seasonal Loot Boxes are random, you can easily purchase the new items with your in-game currency in the Hero Gallery.
Each character listed below has a new holiday themed skin:

Mei’s Snowball Offensive
During the Overwatch Winter Wonderland event, you’ll also be able to play a new brawl: Mei’s Snowball Offensive. Mei’s Snowball Offensive is a 6v6, single-elimination mode featuring of course, Mei.
In this new brawl, Mei’s Blaster no longer unleashes a stream of frost or shoots icicles. Instead, it’s been modified to fire a single, super-powered snowball. Killing an enemy only takes one hit but if you miss a shot, that could cost you the game . Once your weapon is empty, your enemies will have the advantage as you search for the nearest snow pile to reload. A new addition to this brawl changes Mei’s Ultimate, which turns her blaster into a automatic snowball launcher, which allows you to fire continuously giving you the upper hand on enemies.
So with all of that said, go earn as many Winter Loot Boxes as possible and get as many new items as you can! Winter Wonderland is live right now on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One until January 2nd!
